With tomorrow, March 26th, being Epilepsy Awareness Day the Children’s Hospital at London Health Science Centre took the chance to announce the arrival of a brand new, state of the art, robotic arm to help treat the condition.
The ROSA One Brain helps surgeons perform a procedure that pinpoints the location of epileptic seizures in patients for subsequent brain surgery.
The site is one of two in the Province, and receives patient referrals from hospitals, health centres and family doctors around the province.
The Children’s Health Foundation donors help fund the purchase of the 752 thousand dollar state of the art piece of medical equipment.
