The owners of two local Home Hardware franchises have provided a massive boost to the Lamont Sports Park Illuminated Dreams Phase 2 campaign.

Jeff & Sarah Gauthier, the proprietors of the Port Elgin & Southampton Home Hardware and Building Centre have given a $50,000 home run donation to the fundraising effort.

The donation means that Home Hardware will have a place on the lifetime donor board, as well as on a service building planned for a later date.

The stores will also receive an outfield sign at one of the park’s diamonds for 20 years.

The campaign has surpassed its initial goal by raising $1.7 million dollars toward the Park’s second phase.
