Local Penetangear owner gives Donation to Campaign Supporting New Immigrants to the Area

Darrel Perry has been in Canada for 20 years since relocating from his native Australia and donated to the "Give a Toonie" campaign to raise $36,000 in support of 5 people from Afghanistan relocating to the area.

The Kincardine Chamber of Commerce shared word of a generous donation by the owner of Penetangear towards supporting refugees arriving in the area.

Darrel Perry has been in Canada for 20 years since relocating from his native Australia.

He is a long-time supporter of the Kincardine Refugee Committee who are embarking on a campaign to pay for the relocation of five people from Afghanistan.

The Committee will be releasing a video next month, when it will be shown to kick off their “Give a Toonie” campaign.

The fundraising goal is $36,000 in the coming year to meet its commitment.

Penetangear gave a donation in support of the campaign.
