Local unemployment in the region jumped up in February.
Numbers from the Four County Labour Market Planning Board show unemployment in the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region increased by 0.2 percentage points to 5.1 per cent, still remaining as the lowest in the province.
Gains were seen in the services producing sector with a rise of 0.8 per cent or 900 people while the largest gain was in Transportation and warehousing at 12.1 per cent of 400 people.
The goods producing sector saw a drop last month with 4200 lost or 6.4 per cent.
The current number of job postings for the region sits at 1600.
