Independent polling has found 9 in 10 residents within the region believe the Bruce C project would be a gain for the community.

The findings show high public support for the proposed project with the polling conducted by Ipsos.

The project would include up to 4800 megawatts of additional nuclear capacity on the existing Bruce Power site and support has increased by five points since last year.

James Scongack, COO and Executive Vice President says knowing the community has the confidence in their ability to operate the site safely and protect the environment tells them they’re on the right track.
