Bruce County’s Corporate Services Committee identified seven locations in need of Direct Current Fast Charging stations as part of the most recent report received on the regional electric vehicle strategy partnership.
Also known as Level 3 charging stations, there is only one DCFC station in Bruce County, located in Kincardine, and that charger only services Teslas.
The suggested locations for more charging stations include Ferndale, Lion’s Head, Lucknow, Paisley, Southampton or Saugeen Shores, Tobermory, Wiarton and another Kincardine location.
Local municipalities can review the proposed locations, suggest additional locations or assist in preparing those locations, in a future request for proposal.
