The Lures N Lines Fishing Derby that was held last weekend in Wiarton has seen over $6,000 raised to go back into the Hatchery. They also dolled out over $6,000 in cash prizes and saw over $7,000 in giveaways.
Top catches for the weekend include a 12.84-pound rainbow trout by Chris Yates which won him $2100. The top brown trout was Brian Lang at 9.62 pounds winning him $990.
Top Youth James Thompson caught a 10.2-pound salmon and won him $450.
