Owen Sound Police have charged a Saugeen Shores man after multiple reports of a man trying to break into an east side residence in the City Thursday evening.
Once the male failed to gain entry at around 6pm the man fled the area in a vehicle which struck two other vehicles that were travelling on the road.
Police responded to the area and located him in the 900 block of 8th Avenue West where he damaged an additional vehicle.
The man resisted arrest and was subsequently subdued using a taser. The 25-year-old was found to be in possession of a loaded sawed-off shotgun.
He faces a series of charges related to the weapon as well as dangerous operation, failing to remain at an accident, as well as mischief, causing a disturbance and driving without insurance.
He was detained by police and was remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
