The Kincardine Legion announced a mass will be held for Red Larson this Saturday at 5pm at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Russell Street in Kincardine.
Red joined the navy at an early age and was soon engaged in the Korean Conflict.
He worked his way up to the rank of Chief Petty Officer first class and retired after 30 distinguished years of service.
He then went onto Experimental Diving Unit before retiring in 1993.
He served 2 terms as president of the Kincardine Legion, was named Legionnaire of the Year in 2012 and received life membership in 2015.
He was also a member of the Kincardine Curling Club.
Red passed away on April 23rd, 2020.
