A member of the Wingham community is looking to bring together a group of residents to becoming a committee to organize a 2024 Wingham Homecoming.
Joe Carter and his wife Heidi have organized a meeting on March 30th in the upstairs of the Wingham Legion to allow the community to come together to discuss ideas for a possible event.
Carter is a member of the Lucknow Kinsmen and he believes the type of success that group sees with Music in the Fields can make its way to Wingham.
“If you can get hundreds of volunteers to come out every year to put on a festival of 6,500 people then we should be able to put together a wonderful committee for a Wingham Homecoming.”
The meeting will also be available via zoom on Thursday, March 30th beginning at 7pm.
