Men in Grey and Bruce once again put on a pair of women’s heels for charity, joining in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes campaign to make a pledge to speak out against sexual assault and oppression.

The annual event was held in both Port Elgin and Kincardine. The two events saw nearly 30 men do a one-milk walk, donning red high-heeled shoes, walking down both main streets raising over $12,000 for Women’s House.

Awards were handed out to Chris Turcotte in Kincardine for 1st Place and Rob Searson in Port Elgin.

In Port Elgin there was also a Top Tier Drag Show fundraiser held to raise funds for Women’s House.

They saw over 100 in attendance and almost $3,000 raised from ticket sales and a further nearly $1,000 in tips and donations.
