Meridian Credit Union is offering eco-upgrade grants to support sustainable small business in the communities they serve.
The move is in honour of Earth Month and sees them giving a total of $30,000 in total to business operators who apply. Businesses don’t need to be a Meridian member to apply.
Eligible eco-upgrades for the grant includes upgrading lighting to LEDS & motion sensors, switching to a smart thermostat, swapping out packaging with reusable or compostable alternatives, and upgrading appliances or electronics to take advantage of energy efficient options.
The deadline for a business to apply is Sunday, April 30th by 11:59 pm.
