MPP Bill Walker announces 459 New Long Term Care Beds in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Region

Changes mean across County of Grey the facilities getting new beds include 58 new at Village Senior Community in Hanover, 62 for Grey Gales in Markdale, 28 at Rockwood Place in Durham and 51 new in Meaford.

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker announced today that the Province is adding 459 new and upgrading another 435 existing long term care beds across the Region. The change says MPP Walker is part of the government’s $6.4 billion dollar commitment to build 30,00 more net beds and upgrade another 28,000 by the end of 2028.

The changes mean across the County of Grey the facilities getting new beds include 58 new at the Village Senior Community in Hanover, 62 for Grey Gales in Markdale, 28 at Rockwood Place in Durham and 51 new in Meaford.

Walker adds that it is terrific news for the entire community saying that these announcements will help ensure our local seniors receive the quality of care they need and deserve.
