MPP Thompson announces Seniors Community Grants for Huron-Bruce

Grants to both the Municipality of Brockton and the MacKay Centre for Seniors in Goderich will help seniors stay fit, active, health and in their communities.

MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson announced today that the Province is investing nearly $40,000 to enrich the lives oh Huron-Bruce seniors and recognize their contribution to Ontario.

The Seniors Community Grants will help them stay fit, active, health and in their communities.

The Municipality of Brockton will receive $14,476 to improve cognitive health & abilities for those 55 and over through physical fitness, healthy eating, and keeping minds active through social interaction, seminars and creative activites.

The MacKay Centre for Seniors in Goderich will receive $25,000 to enhance coping skills needed to navigate post-Covid reconnections through delivery of education and skills building program to isolated adults so they can stay active and socially engaged.
