The deadline to file election nominations closed Friday afternoon, and it looks like most communities along the shoreline will have a race for top office.
In Kincardine, the mayoral race will be between councillor Laura Haight and pastor Kenneth Craig.
In Goderich, deputy mayor Myles Murdock and Coun. Matt Hoy will aim to fill the late John Grace’s seat.
Only in Saugeen Shores does it appear there will be no race, as Mayor Luke Charbonneau was the only candidate listed after Friday’s deadline. The town will release its official candidate list at 4 p.m. today.
