Leaders from Municipalities across Ontario are in London this week for the 2023 Association of Municipalities Ontario conference.
A delegation of Kincardine Council members & staff are currently in attendance through today.
The conference provides officials the chance to meet with various ministries to discuss local matters, as well as learning opportunities through conference sessions.
A delegation of representatives from the area met with the Member of Provincial Parliament Lisa Thompson on Sunday.
The discussion centered on a pilot project to help notify ag landowners of opportunities through Alternate Land Use Services Canada.
They also met with the Ministry of Labour to discuss additional funding for local partnerships related to skills development to support the local economy.
Other key sessions topics include housing, women’s leadership, healthcare transformation & more.
