Hanover Police are urging parents to double check their kids Halloween candy after a sewing needle was found in a KitKat bar.

On November 4th at around 6pm, Hanover Police received a report of the needle being found after a child attempted to consume the bar.

The child did not swallow the needle and wasn’t injured from the incident.

The exact location on where the candy was received isn’t known but some information suggests it came from a south end subdivision in Hanover.

Investigators are aware of other police services having received similar reports in communities across the province.
