The Bruce Grey chapter of the United Way is out with new way to measure food insecurity in our region.
They along with NPX Innovation in Kincardine have developed an app and website that according to United Way’s food security coordinator Paul Wagenaar gives a more accurate look at the overall problem.
Wagenaar says it only took six weeks to get the app from paper to platform.
He says he hopes people in position of making key decisions will look at the data and take appropriate action to address food insecurity and the issues associated with it.
