A new Community Safety Zone has been established on Highway 21 near the Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School.
Council had requested safety measures to enhance safety in an area which experiences significant traffic including school buses, student drivers, commuters and other road users.
The safety zone extends along Highway 21 from around 300 metres south of the public school entrance to around 300 metres north of the school entrance.
Mayor Kenneth Craig says the safety of our children, families and all road users has been a priority for council and the new safety zone is an important step towards creating a safer environment for students traveling to and from the school.
