For the first time, there is a full-time executive director at the Huron Shores Hospice.
Cathy Herbert started at the hospice in 2018 working as a part-time coordinator.
Hospice co-chair Cheryl Cottrill say Herbert will be assuming much of the administrative duties that used to be handled by the board of directors.
Cottrill says this appointment will allow board members to focus on strategic work and areas that they are most passionate about.
Herbert’s role as executive director takes effect as of Monday.
