The Town of Saugeen Shores have named an interim Fire Chief.
Brian Johnston will assume the duties from Phil Eagleson who took the job as Fire Chief in Owen Sound.
Johnston is a veteran Station Chief and Fire Officer with 41 years’ experience in the fire service.
He started with the Southampton Fire Department in 1980 and rose through the ranks becoming a Captain.
Johnston was named as Southampton District Station Chief in 2007 after amalgamation.
His new role with the Saugeen Shores Fire Department took effect yesterday (MON).
