The Kincardine Business community welcomed a new business to the Downtown yesterday.

KWE Beauty or KWE for short means woman in Ojibwe.

Owner Stephanie Tschirhart, who is indigenous, says her business has been operating for the past 5 years out of her home in Point Clark but in efforts to scale she made the move to call Kincardine home.

“Kincardine just seems to be close enough to home, but far enough away. It just is a vibing place, who wouldn’t want to be here.”

Tschirhart is indigenous and one of the functions of her business will be to offer a safe space for women.

“During the day we are services. We do eye lash extensions, permanent makeup, teeth whitening, we have a hairstylist/hairdresser too. In the evening we will have a drop-in centre for women to just come and be. A brave and safe place to come and find your tribe.”

For more information on KWE you can find KWE Beauty on Facebook, Instagram and at their website.
