Community Foundation Grey Bruce has a new scholarship available for those looking to further their knowledge and skills in palliative care.
Applications are now open for the newly established Dr. Hilli Huff Palliative Care Education Fund, which looks to support those currently working or volunteering in the field.
Because it’s the first year of the fund, organizers say there may be more handed out in supports, but that will depend on the applications that come in.
Jennifer Isber-Legge says the award is for opportunities that begin next year.
“It’s intended for education, conferences or workshops that you’re going to be doing in 2023,” she says. “The deadline is the end of this month and you wouldn’t be hearing about approval until closer to the end of November. It can’t be for courses that you’re already in, it needs to be for courses next year.”
The deadline for applications is Oct. 31. To apply, visit communityfoundationgreybruce.com
