Huron County paramedics stationed in Brussels could soon be getting their own quarters.

A plan is underway that will see a new paramedic station built adjacent to the Brussels Fire Station.

The County’s Chief of Emergency Services Jeff Horseman says the crew are currently housed in the same building with the firefighters but they have outgrown the facility.

Horseman says they are currently undergoing site plan design and will be presented to both Huron East and the Huron County Councils for approval.

He says the plan is to have the new paramedic station up by 2023 at the latest.
