Over 20 new educators in schools with the Bluewater District School took part in a day of learning with a focus on cultural awareness.
Dubbed the New Teacher Induction Program, the program is hosted by the school part from the Learning Services Program and Student Success departments to support teachers with support and resources to start up their careers.
The session held on Wednesday featured a serious of curriculum areas including math manipulations, the science of writing, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program and coding and artificial intelligence.
Attendees also had to the chance to learn about culturally relevant and responsive teaching practices.
