Saugeen Shores Police are reminding residents the town has no pilot program in place for the use of e-scooters.
While the province has rolled out a pilot program for use of e-scooters in municipalities, it is up to the municipality itself to allow the program to go forward locally of which Saugeen Shores has not taken part in.
With this, e-scooters are not permitted in town on any highway, sidewalk, trail, path or walkway in a public park.
Those who ignore this could be charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
