Nominations are being accepted for the Women of Distinction and Young Women of Distinction awards.
Women’s House serving Bruce and Grey along with the County of Bruce’s Business to Bruce program are teaming up to host an International Women’s Day event where the winners will be announced on March 8th.
The community is invited to nominate a woman by explaining her accomplishments in 200 words or less.
Deadline for submissions is February 16th at 4 PM.
Nominees must meet these qualifications:
- must be a resident of Bruce or Grey County
- provides inspiration and motivation to others
- recognized as a positive role model through example, mentoring and education
- consistently displays leadership qualities
- promotes and supports equality, improved opportunities and choices in the community
- demonstrates vision, innovation or creativity and the courage to take risks
- advocates positive changes in society through the impact of her activities, particularly for women and girls
Note: All above criteria also applies for the Young Woman of Distinction award, but in addition, they must be to young women who are still in school, under the age of majority.
