The Reeve of North Huron believes too much is being made about the hike in the tax levy for 2022.
The Township recently approved their budget for this year with a 6.28 percent rate increase.
Bernie Bailey says when you break down the numbers, it amounts to a modest increase in the tax bill.
Bailey says much of the budget will cover a number of capital projects.
He says one is the stand pipe in Wingham that is need of replacement, and installing serving at the Hutton Heights development.
