North Huron driver faces impaired operation after OPP stop in Wingham Sept. 22nd

Officers observed vehicle stopped near Josephine Street & John Street East in Wingham at around 10:40 pm. They also observed people outside the vehicle with open alcohol.

A 22-year-old of North Huron faces charges of impaired operation following a traffic stop on Friday, September 22nd.

Officers observed a vehicle stopped near the intersection of Josephine Street & John Street East in Wingham at around 10:40 pm.

They also observed people outside the vehicle with what appeared to be open alcohol.

A traffic stop was conducted, and a roadside screening device used.

It registered a fail and the driver was placed under arrest.

The male faces charges of operation while impaired, blood alcohol over 80 mg.

Their license has been suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for 7.

They face a November 6th date in a Goderich court.
