North Huron Council will continue to be meeting in person.
A motion by the Township’s Emergency Operations Control Group to have virtual meetings starting in the new year was defeated on December 17th.
Reeve Bernie Bailey was the only one of the seven-member committee to vote in favour of having virtual meetings.
He says Council has been having in-person meetings even through different waves of the pandemic.
Bailey says his reason for returning to virtual meetings was the safety of all staff adding they are the ones the Township can least afford to lose to COVID.
