The Municipality of Kincardine are issuing notices to property owners along Queen Street in the downtown.
It is to inform them that municipal staff along with engineers from BM Ross and Associates will be conducting activities as part of the Queen Street reconstruction project.
They will include investigating existing underground pipes, road, curb, and sidewalk measurements, and service piping into basements.
Part of that work will involve the inspection of the basements of buildings to confirm sanitary and water service pipe locations among other things.
The Municipality says someone from BM Ross will be stopping by at homes asking to check inside.
Appointments can be arranged for those who are not home at the time.
A public meeting will be scheduled at a later date to present the information collected and conceptual designs.
