Nuclear Innovation Institute set to see some of its work travel on SpaceX Rocket to the International Space Station next week

The small raditation detecting satelllite aims to overcome the risks associated with prolonged exposure to space radiation.

The Nuclear Innovation Institute is heralding a team at its organization that are set to see their work launch on a SpaceX rocket from Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on Tuesday, March 14th.

The small satellite to measure space radiation heading to the International Space Spation is the work of Dr. Eric Johnston, Chief Innovation Officer at NIII, Dr. Andrei Hanu, Senior Scientist at Bruce Power as well Dr. Soo-Hyun Byun, a Professor at McMaster assisted by a team of students there as well.

The project aims to overcome the risks associated with prolonged exposure to space radiation.
