The Ontario Federation of All Terrain Vehicle Clubs has partnered up with Co-operators Insurance to grow safety and education for ATV riders across the province.

This comes after the OPP have reported a 125 per cent increase in ATV fatalities in 2024 with one third of the deaths involving alcohol or drugs and over half of the victims not wearing helmets.

Shari Black, Executive Director of OFATV says this collaboration with the co-operators shows mutual values and focus on community safety and their efforts to promote safety awareness among ATV riders.

Guy Laurin, Product Owner for Recreational Vehicles at Co-operators, added, “Co-operators is deeply invested in rural communities, supporting small businesses and local growth, which aligns with our broader mission to foster safe and thriving communities.”

“We look forward to working with OFATV to enhance safety education and awareness for all ATV enthusiasts in Ontario.”
