Olivia has been the most popular name for girls in Ontario for over a decade, topping the 2021 list for newborns.
According to an annual list released by the province, listing the most prominent monikers for the previous year, Noah the number-one choice for boys.
Emma, Charlotte, Amelia and Ava rounded out the top five for girls names while Liam Oliver, Jack and Benjamin were the top five for boys.
The provincial popularity list also serves as a reminder for parents to register their child’s birth with the government within 30 days of welcoming them.
