Ontario Ag Hall of Fame holds 43rd Induction Ceremony on Sunday

The event honoured 11 individuals who have made significant impacts on Ontario agriculture and beyond.

The Ontario Agriculture Hall of Fame inducted 11 individuals who have made significant impacts on Ontario agriculture and beyond at its 43rd Induction Ceremony on Sunday in Elora.

Inductees included Veterinarian, Beef & crop farmer David Biesenthal whose early adoption of the Environmental Farm Plan & Nutrient Management led to being recognized as a leader & public speaker on the topic.

Also recognized was Ray Robertson for his leadership within the agriculture community to help it adapt to changing economic, environmental, and political realities and needs.

As well as Robert James Scott who was one of Ontario’s greatest & most influential activities in the 30’s and 40’s and who helped organize farmers into cooperatives.

Huron-Bruce MPP and Minister of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs Lisa Thompson was also on hand at the ceremony.
