The Union representing faculty at Ontario’s 24 public college say their members have supported a strike mandate.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says 79 per cent of those who voted supported a strike mandate with 76 per cent of members casting a ballot.
The union representing 15,000 professors, instructors, librarians and counselors say its the workload and job precarity being the key issues.
OPSEAU says they are hopeful for a contract to be negotiated with the College Employer Council.
The unions contract expired on October 1st with the parties having since held two days of conciliation talks.
