The Ontario government is investing $117,000 for 24 local conservation projects all being led by the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.

The projects are mainly wetland projects across the province with a total of $11 million being provided from the Wetlands Conservation Partner Program.

Locally the wetland enhancement project will include working with the conservation authority to capture surface water runoff and increase water storage capacity by shaping portions of the land, plating trees, shrubs and native wetland plants.

Over the last 5 years, Ontario has put up over $30 million to support a wide range of projects.
