Ontario is hiring 225 additional nurse practitioners to work in the long-term care sector.
The government is investing $57.6 million over the span of the next three years to recruit nurses through the Hiring More Nurse Practitioners for Long Term Care Program.
The funding provides long-term care homes for eligible employment expenses such as salary, benefits and overhead costs for newly hired nurse practitioners.
The funding also provides $5000 in relocation support for those who are hired to work in rural communities.
