Operation Safe Driver with OPP is working on promoting and enforce laws around Commercial Motor Vehicle safety.
Grey Bruce OPP are doing their part with the initiative to increase public awareness and compliance with safe driving practices with the initiative running until July 14th.
Across the west region there has been 20 fatal crashes directly related to CMV’s with 91 deaths across the province.
In 2023, Grey Bruce OPP led the western region for CMV charges with 21.
OPP also put 5 commercial motor vehicles out of service including an impound for stunt driving.
