Huron County OPP is currently at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place north of Dashwood.
At approximately 11:53 am the OPP, Huron County Paramedics and the area fire department responded to a collision located on Bronson Line between Pepper and MacDonald Road.
On arrival first responders located a head-on crash between a pickup and a SUV.
Both drivers were transported to hospital and one of the drivers was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators have identified the deceased driver as 52-year-old Matthew George of Bluewater.
The other driver, a 35-year-old, remains in hospital with undetermined injuries.
Members of the West Region Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team will be attending the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
Bronson Line is currently closed between Zurich-Hensall Road (Huron County #84) and Dashwood Road (Huron County #83).
Drivers are asked to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
