Grey Bruce OPP are investigating the death of unidentified individuals that were found in separate house fires.
One occurred early Saturday morning around 5 at a home on Girl Guide Road in Georgian Bluffs.
Police along with Grey County paramedics and Inter Township Fire Department went to the scene.
One person was removed from the burning home and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A nearby resident as well as two officers were taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The other fire happened on the 10th Concession in Meaford later that evening around 10:50.
OPP along with Grey County paramedics and Inter Township Fire Department were called to the scene there.
A person was also removed from the burning structure and pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews remain at the scene of both sites.
OPP Forensic Identification Services and the Office of the Coroner are assisting in both ongoing investigations.
The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall are assisting in the Meaford fire investigation.
