Members from the Huron County OPP and the South Bruce OPP were on hand in Clinton today to help kick off its Annual Project Red Ribbon Campaign.

Project Red Ribbon is an annual awareness campaign to promote sober driving during the holiday season.

The officers along with volunteers from the Huron-Bruce Mothers Against Drunk Driving chapter conducted a RIDE program in Clinton in an effort to create awareness and detect potential impaired drivers.

It was great news on both fronts. Officers reported that 200 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and everyone was found to be complying and driving sober.

The Huron-Bruce MADD chapter recently celebrated its 27th anniversary as a chapter dedicated to stopping impaired driving and supporting victims of the violent crime.
