OPP lay Arson charges after Fire in Seaforth on January 10th

A 31-year-old male of no fixed address has been charged with arson, and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

The OPP have laid charges of arson after investigating a fire in Seaforth on January 10th.

Officers and Huron East Fire were called to a fire at a multi-unit apartment building on Market Street at around 8 am.

All residents inside the building were evacuated.

The investigation revealed a male suspect had started a fire inside the entrance of the building causing smoke damage. No estimate on the cost is available.

A 31-year-old male of no fixed address has been charged with arson, and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

They have since been remanded into custody.
