As part of Crime Prevention Week this week and with the theft of ATV’s growing across the Region the Ontario Provincial Police offered some tips to ATV owners over social media today to ensure that you make the act of stealing that prized possession more difficult. Here is Provincial Constable Greg Blackwell with key information to have on file on your ATV.
“As far as the ATV, if it is to be stolen, it is obviously good if you have the Vehicle Identification Number on file, recent photographs of the ATV and any modifications you’ve made it so police are more easily able to identify it if it is recovered.”
Police say to report any suspicious activity that may occur in your neighbourhood.
You can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
