Huron County OPP continue to investigate a fatal motor vehicle crash that took place early this morning west of Exeter.
At approximately 4:13 am Huron County OPP, Huron Paramedics and the South Huron Fire Department responded to the collision scene located on Ausable Line between Dashwood Road (Huron Road #83) and Huron Street West.
Preliminary investigation has determined the driver of a sedan was travelling northbound on Ausable Line when he lost control on the gravel roadway and the vehicle collided with a large tree in the east ditch.
The driver, a 16 year old male of Centralia, and lone occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team attended the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
Ausable Line is now open for travel.
