OPP Take Suspect into Custody In Case of Two Suspicous Deaths Near Brussels

Family member of the deceased remains in custody but no charges have been laid at this point in the ongoing investigation

The Huron County OPP have taken a suspect into custody in the case of two suspicious deaths at a residence near Brussels.

Members of the Crime Unit, Tactical & Rescue, Emergency Response Team and Regional Support Team under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch arrested a family member in connection with the incident.

The individual remains in custody but no charges have been laid at this point in the ongoing investigation.

The investigation started on Wednesday, March 30th at approximately 4pm when Police and Huron County Paramedics responded to the residence on Graham Road and located the two deceased parties on the property.

Police are still waiting on the post-mortem examinations but both are considered suspicious.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity taking place on or near Graham Road between the evenings of Tuesday, March 29th at 4pm and Wednesday, March 30th.

Although Police believe this is an isolated incident, the OPP reminders everyone to be aware of their personal safety at all times.
