Huron County OPP, the town of Goderich and the County of Huron are once again preparing for an unsanctioned car rally event that may be coming to Goderich this weekend.
Similar events in other municipalities have led to situations of destruction of property, and dangerous driving that have led to injuries and even death.
In an effort to maintain the highest level of community safety a comprehensive operations plan has been developed and put in place.
Similar to last weekend residents may notice an increased police presence through the town and nearby access points into the community. There may be road closures and restricted access.
