The Christmas holiday season is an opportunity for scammers to be grinches.
South Bruce OPP are warning people about scams after two Kincardine area residents were targeted resulting in thousands of dollars lost.
Constable Kevin Martin says con artists are becoming more knowledgeable about technology and how organizations operate.
He says there are ways to find out if the email or phone call is coming from a legitimate organization.
Martin says the easiest way to stop scams is to hang up the phone or delete the email.
