22 residents and 25 family and team members all took part at the Brucelea Haven Long Term Care Home’s first Walk of Alzheimer’s.
The walk done in support at the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce was able to raise $1060 who doubled their goal of $500.
Megan Garland, Director of Long Term Care and Senior Services at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton says the Alzheimer Society supports community programs and services which assist individuals and families touched by dementia in many different ways including caregiver supporter groups.
