The province is dishing out $11,510,760 in Grey County to boost emergency care and increase the availability of paramedics and ambulances in the area.
Grey County is seeing a 10 per cent increase in land ambulance funding which wil help ensure municipalities address increased costs so they can continue to deliver high quality emergency care.
Further, Ontario is investing $54,600 in Grey County through the Dedicated Offload Nurses Program which allows paramedics to get back out in the community faster to respond to 911 calls.
MPP Paul Vickers says ensuring paramedics can spend less time waiting at hospitals and more time responding to emergencies is critical for the safety of families across Grey County.
